VERDEinMED KNOWLEDGE PLATFORM

VERDEinMED is a European initiative dedicated to promoting sustainability and circularity in the textile and clothing sector. By integrating knowledge, exchanging good practices and strengthening cooperation, the project aims to reduce the environmental impact of the sector while supporting competitiveness and innovation.
The VERDEinMED project has developed a content-based Knowledge Platform to accelerate the transition to a circular economy in the textile industry. The VERDEinMED Knowledge Platform offers expert-reviewed tools, resources and data, and connects companies, consumers and public authorities across the entire textile value chain. The VERDEinMED Knowledge Platform is a digital hub developed by the Centre for Research and Technology – Greece (CERTH), the Greek coordinator of the VERDEinMED project, enriched by contributions from all partners and continuously updated. It functions as a comprehensive online portal providing a wide range of resources for stakeholders across the entire textile value chain, including tools, reports, infographics and expert-reviewed content, to support sustainable and circular practices.
With a focus on the entire life cycle of textiles – from production and market presence, to use and waste management – the platform offers companies, consumers and public authorities a collaborative space for accessing, sharing and applying innovative solutions.

It is available in eight languages and, among other things, provides resources on regulations and policy frameworks, data on the textile industry and waste, and examples of good practices. At the same time, it enables stakeholders to connect via national hubs and contribute relevant materials.
All content is reviewed by experts, ensuring quality and reliability.

The launch of the platform represents an important milestone in achieving the mission of the VERDEinMED project – to promote innovation, strengthen cooperation and reduce the environmental footprint of the textile industry in Europe and the Mediterranean region.
